Principal People are currently working on behalf of a leading UK Distributor who are part of a FTSE 250 Group.
The organisation are looking for an Interim Head of Health and Safety on a 3-6 month contract offering 3 days per week. This hybrid role will be based near to Northampton with travel to UK remits alongside homeworking.
This is to be working as part of a progressive organisation and they are looking for an individual with strong interpersonal skills able to communicate effectively at all levels. This role is looking to pay a day rate of £(Apply online only)/day. (Inside IR35)
Key Duties
Maintain the current health and safety function for this interim period.
Offer overall team support and management
Follow the current HSE roadmap for the business within this period
Manage a small team of direct reports
Keep to business compliant for health and safety
Managing health and safety forums
Act a lead for technical health and safety advice for the business. Key criteria for this requirement:
NEBOSH Diploma level or equivalent
Health and Safety experience within Industrial / Aggregates / Distribution / Transport / Heavy Industry is ideal
Be available at short notice
Have operated at senior level positions and held responsibility for managing a team (essential)
