Our asset management business system includes carbon management to meet our corporate objective of becoming a Net Zero Carbon organisation. Carbon management is being fully embedded in both the delivery of our infrastructure programme and in our management of assets.
The carbon management process is supported by existing and developing carbon tools that enable construction projects and suppliers to meet mandatory carbon assessment requirements. The EA produces a carbon footprint for all assets that need to be reduced over future years.
The Asset Management Business Systems Team supports all EA teams and suppliers in their use of carbon tools and ensures they become a ‘core’ asset management system operating with other AMBST supported tools for the infrastructure programme and asset management.

* Collaborate with IT suppliers and others within the EA, including colleagues in FCRM, Operations teams throughout England and in Defra’s Digital, Data and Technology Services (DDTS).
* Engage with Local Authorities, Water Companies, Internal Drainage Boards, and the civil engineering supply chain.
Qualifications
* Significant experience and knowledge in carbon management in infrastructure assets, projects or programmes.
* Experience in asset management and/or infrastructure business processes.
* Experience in digital tool development or user implementation services.
* Experience in development of training and documentation.
* Knowledge and skills in stakeholder engagement and effective communications.
* Ability to identify, analyse, evaluate, and implement improved ways of working.
