Logistics Services Assistant
Grade - Band 2
Hours - 12 hours per week on a 3-week rolling part-time rota:
1. Week 1 - Mon, Thu, Fri 16:00 - 20:00
2. Week 2 - Tue, Fri 16:00 - 20:00, Saturday 15:00 - 19:00
3. Week 3 - Wed, Sat, Sun 16:00 - 20:00
Salary – £24,169 Pro rata
Site - Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital
Ensure collection and delivery of goods, food, waste including clinical waste throughout the Trust is removed and disposed of following strict policy and standard operating practices over the 24/7 period.
Our team is responsible for replacing medical gas cylinders, removing the empty ones in various areas of the Trust, and ensuring safe transportation and storage procedures are followed.
We have daily pharmacy, pathology, and other stock/top-up and collection runs during the working day, which may include handling blood and other sample products in sealed containers.
If successful at the shortlist stage, you will be required to participate in a practical assessment, a short reading and writing test to evaluate your ability to read and retain information.
The successful candidate will also need to undertake a driving assessment. Any employment offer will be subject to the Trust's terms and conditions and the satisfactory completion of the driving assessment, which must be renewed annually.
We are a busy team expecting everyone to collaborate, follow schedules, and adhere to policies and procedures. Training will be provided for all roles undertaken during your shifts.
