IT Technician required. Our client is a leading UK organisation specialising in IT strategies and solutions to power growth. Operating across the South East & beyond, they deliver infrastructure, security, software, and support for businesses, schools, and other organisations.
They are now seeking an outstanding IT Technician to join the team and work at Sydenham School. The role is based fully at the school, with support from the IT team in Marden. Occasionally, training at their Marden office may be required. They seek a candidate who is customer-focused, values excellent customer service, possesses strong communication skills, and has a passion for technology. Experience in providing first-class IT support to resolve client issues is essential.
Position Overview
* Serve as the first point of contact for all ICT needs at the school, resolving daily support requests.
* Collaborate with the school development team to ensure the delivery of high-quality service.
* Manage and support an IT apprentice, providing training and guidance.
* Oversee all technical aspects of installation, configuration, and maintenance.
* Perform advanced diagnosis of hardware, software, and peripherals.
* Ensure help desk tickets are logged, tracked, and resolved efficiently.
* Monitor and manage infrastructure systems, including Active Directory, DNS, and Group Policy.
* Manage firewall and anti-virus systems, including filtering and monitoring.
Position Requirements
* Strong experience with IT and technical issues.
* Level A ICT qualification.
* Flexible and adaptable attitude.
* Willingness to work with students and train small groups of staff.
* Hyper-V and VMWare certifications are desirable.
Position Remuneration
* Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm.
* 25 days holiday, including bank holidays.
