We are looking for an enthusiastic Band 8a Advanced Paediatric Nurse Practitioner (APNP) / Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to work within the Children’s Community Nursing Team (CCNT) in Oldham. This is a part time post of 25 hours (over 3 or 4 working days). Successful candidates must have demonstrable experience at Band 7 or 8a and must hold an MSc in Advanced Paediatric Nursing Practice (ambulatory care) or MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
The APNP / ACP service is an evolving nurse led service. The successful candidate will be working predominately within a clinic environment at the Integrated Care Centre with scope to offer home visits where identified. Community experience is desirable however consideration will be given to applicants without should suitable evidence be provided. The postholder will work as part of the CCNT, working closely with key stakeholder partners from community, acute secondary and tertiary settings, local authority and the voluntary sector.
Responsibilities
* Work within the Children’s Community Nursing Team (CCNT) in Oldham, predominantly in a clinic environment with scope for home visits.
* Lead and contribute to the development of the APNP/ACP service as a nurse-led model.
* Collaborate with stakeholders from community, acute secondary and tertiary settings, local authorities and the voluntary sector.
* Support and influence nursing practice through clinical excellence, research, and professional development.
* Coordinate and develop community services across diverse teams and clinical networks.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Demonstrable experience at Band 7 or 8a.
* Must hold an MSc in Advanced Paediatric Nursing Practice (ambulatory care) or MSc in Advanced Clinical Practice.
* Part-time: 25 hours per week over 3 or 4 working days.
* Community experience is desirable; applications without it will be considered with suitable evidence.
