Job Title: Assistant Finance Manager/ Finance Supervisor (Part-Qualified)

Robert Half is excited to be partnering exclusively with Keynvor Morlift, a dynamic UK-based integrated marine contractor. As they continue to expand across specialist vessel operations, marine civil engineering, and renewable energy marine projects they are seeking to take on an Assistant Finance Manager (part-qualified) to join their team and support the growing pipeline of high-impact coastal and offshore projects.
The Role:
This is a dynamic role for a highly motivated, adaptable and resourceful individual with strong accounting and administration experience. As a key part of the Finance Team, the primary function of this role is to provide financial and commercial administration support to the Finance Manager and the Company in a wide range of aspects. You will need to be pro-active in your approach, good at working under pressure, and capable of working to tight deadlines. You will be practically minded with a strong financial and commercial bias, and possess good accounting, admin, communication, and organisational skills.
Role Responsibilities:
1. Assisting to the Finance Manager and Management Accountant
2. Supervising Purchase ledger clerk, (including covering leave & sickness),
3. Liaising with Ledger Clerk to answer questions from both internal and external stakeholders
4. Supervising weekly supplier payment runs/Creditors Reporting
5. Collating, scheduling and posting monthly credit and debit card receipts. Chasing any outstanding receipts
6. Loading Payments & Issuing remittances when required
7. Taking lead Month End processes; being able to prepare accounts to a PNL/BS Level, accounting for Accruals, Prepayments, Fixed asset additions Inter-company reconciliations
8. Assist with Group Accounting, inter-company transactions
9. Assisting in Year End and Audit processes
10. Taking lead with VAT returns,
11. Assist with Budgeting and reporting
12. Supporting and working with the other Finance team members, with any queries and information required
What We're Looking For:
13. Fully AAT qualified as a minimum
14. Previous experience of working within a busy accounts function including hands-on experience of working within a UK corporate business within the Finance Function at mid-level.
15. Previous experience of working in a contracting/construction/project environment is preferred but not essential
16. Strong history of using Sage Line 50 and Sage 200
17. Ability to communicate effectively explaining finance information in simple, easy to understand ways both verbally and visually
18. Keen attention to detail
19. Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Excel.
20. Strong Computer skills
21. Ability to work autonomously but possess strong team skills
What's on Offer:
22. Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
23. Working Hours: Full time, 5 days per week, with flexible working hours anytime between 8:00 am - 6:00 pm
24. Location: Based at the company's headquarters in Falmouth
25. Holidays: 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays
