Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our operations team. This role involves supporting the sourcing and purchasing of goods and services essential to our operations.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the procurement process by preparing purchase orders and coordinating with suppliers.
* Management of inventory levels through effective stock replenishment strategies
* Conduct supplier evaluations and negotiate favourable terms to optimise costs and quality
* Monitor supply chain activities to identify potential delays or issues, proposing solutions proactively
* Experience of logistics/freight is desired but not essential.
Skills
* Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure advantageous terms from suppliers
* Knowledge of logistics and supply chain management principles
* Experience working with purchasing and inventory planning processes
* Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
* Effective communication skills for liaising across departments and with external suppliers
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £18,500.00-£23,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 – 25 per week
