Edit Assistant / Shooting Editor – South West Devon
Competitive Salary, Three-Month Rolling Contract
Feral Film and Broadcast Ltd is looking for a talented Edit Assistant / Shooting Editor to join our small but ambitious production team. We are a growing business transitioning to a more agency-focused model, building on our reputation for combining bold creativity with measurable impact. Our work is about more than visuals — it's about connecting storytelling with data, delivering content that resonates emotionally while proving its value to clients and partners.
We specialise in sport, brand, and corporate campaigns – combining creativity, creative craft, and strong storytelling to deliver standout work for clients across the UK and internationally.
This role would suit either a recent graduate with one to two years' experience, or someone with at least two years of proven freelance or in-house production experience.
What we're looking for:
* Organised, technical, and creative, with a sharp instinct for storytelling and narrative structure
* Proficient in editing workflows (Adobe Premiere Pro or equivalent), with a willingness to learn new tools and systems
* Comfortable assisting on shoots, with an eye for detail and good on-set etiquette
* A self-starter who enjoys working as part of a small, adaptable team
* Based within a reasonable commute of our Dartington office (flexible working available, but regular in-office days are expected)
* Willing to occasionally work weekends, usually only during spring and summer (with time off in lieu provided), depending on client needs and event schedules
Key responsibilities:
* Supporting editors with ingesting, organising, and preparing rushes
* Assisting on edits, rough cuts, and delivery prep
* Shooting b-roll and supporting camera ops when required
* Contributing creative ideas to storytelling, structure, and visual style
* General production support as part of a hands-on, collaborative team
