Role Summary: We’re seeking a motivated retail assistant to join our trading team, acting as an ambassador for Cancer Research UK and taking responsibility for the shop on Sundays.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee shop operations on Sundays, including keyholder duties (training provided) and supporting volunteers.
* Assist in achieving sales and fundraising targets.
* Review and process donated goods and stock.
* Generate creative ideas to increase income, with guidance from the Shop Manager.
* Provide excellent customer service to supporters and customers.
* Maintain shop standards regarding safeguarding, compliance, and health & safety.
* Perform manual handling and physical activities as required.
Candidate Requirements:
* Knowledge of excellent customer service skills.
* Experience working in lively, vibrant environments.
* Adaptability and ability to work independently and in a team.
* Commercial awareness.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Flexibility to work on a rota basis, respecting work-life balance.
