About the Role

A career that will deliver change. Together, we'll help Britain achieveNetZero.

Aztec West, Bristol (hybrid working)

The Opportunity

EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island (NI) buildings, systems, and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. As a result, a Technical Directorate is being established to oversee the engineering disciplines and technical expertise needed to successfully deliver these projects through EPR-E's integrated teams.

As a Finance Accountant, you\'ll be joining a newly established finance function within a dynamic and fast-evolving organisation. You\'ll play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance, while supporting the wider team in streamlining processes and improving performance. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a major infrastructure project with international collaboration and long-term impact.

Pay, Benefits & Culture

The salary range associated with this role is competitive, dependent on experience. We offer a competitive benefits package, including a company pension scheme, and a wide range of flexible benefits to suit your lifestyle. We\'re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.

At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone\'s working needs are different. Whether you\'re in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.

Here, we do right by each other and everyone\'s welcome. We\'re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We\'d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility.

We\'re a disability confident employer and we\'ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.

We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed. That\'s why we support you to pursue a career that\'s unique to you. Because success is personal.

What You\'ll Be Doing

* Produce accurate monthly accounts, financial performance reports, and manage balance sheet reconciliations and cashflow forecasts.
* Provide insights to inform key decisions and ensure compliance with UK regulations and EDF Group standards.
* Collaborate with the Finance Manager and wider Finance & Commercial team, refining financial processes and reporting tools.
* Help shape and improve systems from the ground up as EPR-E is newly established.
* Engage with stakeholders in France and participate in occasional travel.
* Support reporting for the Hinkley Point C and Sizewell C projects and contribute to the UK\'s low-carbon energy future.

Who You Are

* Qualified accountant or accounting technician (ACCA, ICAEW, ICAS, CIMA, AAT) with experience in preparing management accounts within a project-based environment.
* Strong analytical skills, professional-level Excel proficiency, and a solid understanding of the UK accounting landscape.
* Experience in large, complex organisations and ability to work in collaborative, multidisciplinary teams. Experience with SAP, Power Apps, and financial IT systems is a plus. French language skills would be beneficial.
* Detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and confident interpreting financial data. Enjoy solving problems and contributing to inclusive, multicultural environments where diverse perspectives are valued.

Applications close for this role on Friday 19th September, with interviews following shortly after.

Please note that this is a fixed term contract, with the possibility of being made permanent in future.

Success is personal. It\'s your journey, powered by us. Join us and we\'ll help Britain achieve Net Zero together.
