As our Finance Assistant Apprentice, you'll be part of our busy, friendly and supportive finance team. This role is the perfect opportunity to learn, grow and gain valuable experience while working towards a professional qualification.
Your Impact
From day one, you'll play an active role in ensuring the smooth running of our financial operations. You'll help the team keep everything accurate and on track, while developing the practical skills you'll need for a future career in finance and administration.

What You'll Do
Working alongside the team, you'll get hands on experience in:
* Helping to process sales and purchase invoices and purchase orders
* Supporting the maintenance of financial records using systems like SAGE 50 for Finance and SAGE Customer Relationship Management (CRM) for processing sales data
* Assisting with bank reconciliations and preparing documents for payments
* Learning how to operate credit control processes to secure prompt payments Helping to prepare financial data for management information reports and statutory returns
* Supporting the team during quarter-end, year-end, and audit activities
* Observing and learning about financial rules, processes and policies
* Participating in team meetings

* Good user basic IT skills (we use Microsoft Excel and Word every day for processing our data and information)

Your Development
This apprenticeship is delivered in partnership with Let Me Play Limited, giving you structured training and support alongside real workplace experience. You'll work towards a Level 2 Accounts or Finance Assistant apprenticeship standard, with 20% of your time dedicated to training or study.
We'll help you apply your learning directly to your role, so you gain both confidence and competence as your career begins to take shape.
Requirements
Essential qualifications:
* GCSE English (A–C / 9–4)
* GCSE Maths (A–C / 9–4)
If you have other relevant qualifications or experience, the apprenticeship can be adapted to reflect what you already know.

Salary
You can earn up to £14,526.20 for your first year, which may increase depending on your age - please see further details on the Government National Minimum Wage Rates page.
