To work closely with stakeholders and act as a key contact on all procurement related business. Undertaking Procurement activity for medium value contracts acting within the procurement strategy. Providing support to procurement and finance colleagues and to identify savings opportunities against agreed timescales.
Ensuring compliance with the Trust's Standing financial Instructions and UK Contracting Regulations whilst following best practice guidance.
Identifying, delivering and maximising savings opportunities and demonstrating value for money in all activities.
Main duties of the job
Processing of requisitions and orders via the trust's e-tendering system.
Producing reports relating to supplier spend, product usage and savings analysis.
We have a Procurement team of 17 staff and we recognise the value of team work. We build personal networks which enhance overall performance and encourage and enable contributions from all team members.
The post holder will be in daily contact with procurement and finance colleague, suppliers, NHS Supply Chain, Clinical Procurement Specialist Nurse and clinical staff across both organisation.

Qualifications
* Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply – Level 3 (or commitment to work towards)
Experience
* Experience of working within purchasing and procurement.
* Experience of analysing basic information and spend data to support decision making.
Knowledge
* knowledge of the Public Contract Regulations 2015 and relevant legislation which applies to the expenditure of public money.
* Understanding of the structure of contracts and an appreciation for the major principals.
* These need to be used as the basis for all procurement activity carried out and against which the department will be audited against.
* knowledge and experience in managing change relating to processes, people, products and suppliers.
* Builds and manages internal and external stakeholder relationships by assessing needs and ensuring delivery of requirements.
* Demonstrates an understanding of the current market environment including awareness of opportunities Evaluates and uses information from a variety of sources in order to proactively develop the business and improve performance.
