Job Title: Bid Coordinator/Planner

Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum, depending on experience
About the Role:
Thompsons of Prudhoe is seeking a proactive and organised Bid Coordinator/Planner to support the planning and coordination of operational elements within our bid process. This role focuses on integrating demolition, asbestos removal, and earthworks activities into tender submissions, ensuring they are both feasible and aligned with project timelines.
While some experience in planning or bid coordination is preferred, we offer full training and support to help the right candidate develop their skills. This role also offers a clear pathway for progression into a Bid Manager position over time.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and organise operational aspects of bids, ensuring alignment with delivery feasibility
* Liaise with site and operational teams to integrate logistics into bid documentation
* Coordinate input from estimating, commercial, legal, and operations departments
* Maintain bid schedules, trackers, and submission timelines
* Format, proofread, and compile bid documents in line with client specifications
* Submit bids via client portals or designated channels
* Provide administrative support and ensure version control of bid documentation
Skills & Experience:
* Exposure to bid coordination, planning, or tendering processes (construction or engineering sectors preferred)
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication
* High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn
