About The Bear
The Bear is a boutique nine-bedroom hotel dating back to the 17th century, originally serving as a traditional coaching inn on the London to Portsmouth route.
We foster a community atmosphere, serving as a meeting place for any occasion right in the heart of Esher high street. Open morning, noon, and night, the pub is lively at all hours.
We host numerous functions and events and welcome patrons before and after visits to Sandown racecourse, just a 10-minute walk away.

What we look for in a Sous Chef
We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef or Senior CDP ready for the next step, who considers themselves a natural leader with a passion and flair for producing quality fresh food in a welcoming environment. As a successful Sous Chef, you will:
* Champion excellent service through quality food
* Demonstrate leadership and team development skills
* Be an active, hands-on Chef with excellent communication skills
* Manage the kitchen staff rota, training, and health and safety procedures effectively
* Collaborate with your Head Chef to design and deliver new dishes and specials
* Show strong planning and organizational skills to maintain control over GP and labour costs
* Drive sales and growth through engagement with kitchen and front-of-house teams
