Overview
This role is offered on a fixed term basis for up to 6 months. The hours are part time for 22.5 hours a week. This is a Band 4 Assistant Psychologist position within the Children’s Autism and ADHD assessment Service (CAAAS). Gloucestershire is transforming its neurodiversity provision for under 18s by developing a NICE compliant autism and ADHD assessment pathway to support the Gloucestershire All Age Autism Strategy, in line with the NHS Long Term Plan for under 18s.
We are looking for a thoughtful, efficient, enthusiastic team member who can support assessments such as the QB, join multi-disciplinary autism and ADHD assessments, and support the team to evaluate the service and complete audits. The post holder will work closely with Clinical Psychologists within the team, under supervision, and will be offered support and training where required. You will be expected to work both independently and as part of the team.

Responsibilities
* Support with autism and ADHD assessments (e.g., QB) as part of multi-disciplinary teams.
* Contribute to evaluation of the service and completion of audits.
* Develop skills in areas such as report writing and cognitive assessment, with supervision from Clinical Psychologists and the service lead.
* Work independently using initiative and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Engage in training and development opportunities as required.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience of working with neurodiverse children and young people.
* Experience of multi-disciplinary team working.
* Strong interpersonal skills, well-organised, proactive and able to communicate effectively.
* Willingness to develop skills in report writing and cognitive assessment.
