Milk Education is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Barnsley. This is a fantastic opportunity for an inspiring educator to teach languages across Key Stages 3 and 4, helping students develop their communication skills, cultural awareness, and confidence in language learning.
This full-time role is available for an immediate start or from September 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and effective MFL lessons that inspire a love of language learningCreate a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student achievementAssess, monitor, and track student progress, adapting lessons to meet a range of learning needsEncourage students to develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in a foreign languagePromote cultural understanding and global awareness through high-quality teachingSupport enrichment opportunities, including language clubs, trips, and extracurricular activities where appropriateCollaborate with colleagues and wider school staff to enhance student outcomesMaintain high professional standards and uphold the values of both the school and Milk EducationPerson Specification:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualificationExperience teaching Modern Foreign Languages at KS3 and KS4Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners of varying abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsEnhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Milk EducationWhy Join Milk Education?
