Paralegal Location: Hybrid/Doncaster (DN4 5JQ) Contract type: Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary: £26,000 - £30,000 per annum dependent on experience, Benefits: plus 22 days holiday, pension, life assurance, employee assistance programme, wellbeing support, and flexible benefits scheme About the Job As a valued member of the Legal team, you will assist in delivering daily legal support to the business across all capabilities and sectors. You’ll support the Company Secretarial team, advising on governance, ethics, regulatory and compliance issues. Here at Unipart, we don’t just have a way of working, we have The Unipart Way. As a Paralegal you will support the legal safeguarding and governance, risk and compliance framework of Unipart. As part of your key responsibilities you’ll: • Carry out initial contract reviews and provide legal advice, either alone or alongside colleagues in the Commercial Contracts team • Review and negotiate NDAs, apprenticeship agreements, collaboration agreements and other similar contracts • Undertake legal research • Draft ancillary documents for share and/or business sales and purchases • Assist with the management of professional subscriptions and licences • Proofread documents, deal with signature and execution, co-ordinate the Legal team shared drive and contract management system • Ensure the prevention of the business signing up to onerous commercial and/or legal obligations in contracts • Attend training webinars or sessions and feed back to the team/knowledge sharing • Ensure the adherence to Unipart’s governance processes and delegated authorities • Ensure template and precedent documents are up to date and fit for purpose and assist with the implementation of these within the business • Assist with the delivery of training to Unipart colleagues • Support the roll out of new legal tools and smarter ways of working • Provide legal support for disputes and litigation including debt collection claims • Work with external law firms and advisors; manage billing and field queries About You We’d love you to have the following skills and experience, but please apply if you think you’d be able to perform well in this role!
