Job overview
We are looking to recruit a full time CAD Designer/Dental Technician to work within our fixed prosthodontic dental laboratory. The job will predominantly be working as a CAD designer with proven experience and expertise in CAD design.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing (with Exocad) all types of Crown & Bridge / Implant restorations, along with digital wax ups for treatment planning. They will undertake the duties of a Cad Designer/Dental Technician to dental prescription. This will involve the planning and design of a full range of custom-made fixed prosthodontic restorations. It will occasionally involve CAM (milling and printing as required).
The laboratory provides a service for undergraduate and postgraduate students and for clinical members of staff.
You will be required to work as part of a team, have excellent communication skills and must have a meticulous eye for detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
A bench/digital test will be required the day before the interview.

Qualifications
* Fully qualified dental technician holding a BSc Hons / Foundation Degree; BTEC Diploma in Dental Technology/City and Guilds Final or SCOTVEC Equivalent
* Registered Dental Technician.
* Keep up to date with advancements in Dental Technology
Experience
* Experience of CAD (Exocad) designing
* Experience in the production of simple and complex fixed prosthodontics splints and diagnostic wax ups/treatment planning
* Strong attention to detail and precision
* Evidence of CPD training and updating knowledge
* Experience with Millbox Software would be advantageous and knowledge of 3D printing
* Knowledge of Medical Devices Directive
* Able to use own initiative and prioritise own workload
* Commitment to develop skills and undertake further training
