Job Description:
My client is seeking a Site Operations & Warehouse Manager to oversee warehousing and domestic transport within a busy Airfreight and distribution centre. This role includes managing site operations, facilities, logistics solutions, and ensuring cost efficiency and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage transport administration, planning, and third-party carriers, as well as internal drivers and warehouse inbound/outbound processes.
* Oversee stock management and control, staff, and resource allocation.
* Ensure safety, housekeeping, and maintenance standards are upheld.
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives aligned with a Kaizen environment.
* Maintain high quality standards, meet KPIs and SLAs, and monitor operational performance.
* Ensure health, safety, and welfare regulations are followed.
* Handle building maintenance, quality, environmental standards, and external contractor relations.
* Act as Security Responsible Person.
Additional Duties
* Plan resources and staff efficiently to meet daily operational goals.
* Manage operational supervisors and ensure timely completion of activities.
* Maintain risk assessments, SSOW, and manage operational costs.
* Ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with procedures.
* Coordinate maintenance of machinery and security equipment with contractors.
* Manage communication between team members, management, customers, and suppliers.
* Oversee domestic transport activities with the Transport Manager and 3PL partners.
* Encourage continuous improvement and positive housekeeping practices.
* Handle staff disciplinary processes with HR.
* Monitor staff performance, attendance, and training records.
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 3 years managerial experience in warehouse and transport environments.
* Experience in airfreight operations preferred.
* Strong leadership and team motivation skills.
* Flexible, reliable, and results-driven.
* Ability to work under pressure calmly.
* AvSec and H&S certification preferred.
* Budget management experience.
* Excellent communication skills.
* O Licence desirable; training available.
