This role is full time, however we would welcome applications from candidates seeking part-time employment.

At St Hild's, our Science curriculum has been designed to include memorable and engaging activities that encourage deep thinking. At Key Stage 3, we follow the national curriculum that gives pupils a secure foundation in the fundamental concepts of science. For Key Stage 4 pupils, we offer AQA Trilogy Science and Separate Science.

We are looking for a teacher who can inspire and influence and who has:

* Evidence of designing and teaching effective lessons that meet the needs of all learners.
* Effective classroom management skills whilst modelling good practice.
* Highest expectations of achievement, attainment, behaviour and ethos.
* A willingness to contribute to whole school activities.

Our school is one of eight primary and secondary schools within the NEAT Academy Trust family of schools. At the heart of our trust is the aim to nurture, educate, achieve and transform the lives of all young people within the communities we serve across the North East.

St Hild's Church of England School, named after Saint Hild of Whitby, the founding abbess of the monastery at Whitby, is a mixed, 11-16 secondary school located in Hartlepool, County Durham. It has been part of NEAT Academy Trust family of schools since April 2021.

St HIld's aims to serve its local community by providing a high-quality, fully inclusive teaching and learning environment in a Christian context. We work tirelessly to ensure each child enjoys their education and is able to achieve the best they can, both academically and in terms of their personal and social development. "Life in all it's fullness" John 10:10 is our motto an we work hard to make this a reality.

A full range of enrichment and extra-curricular activities include sport, music, community and charity work, drama, dance, environmental work and outdoor pursuits. Pupils can train as Student Librarians and, in Years 10 and 11, as Junior Sports Leaders and House Captains as well as being a School Prefect.

Our recent SIAMS inspection rated us GOOD with EXCELLENT strands in the impact of Collective Worship and the effectiveness of Religious Education.
