Job Duties

Fulfills the Department's Mission: Enhance public safety by controlling and programming sentenced inmates in a humane, cost-efficient manner, consistent with sound correctional principles and constitutional standards. Serves as administrative support to the Regional Administrators for Institutions and Community Corrections. Provides good customer service skills to the public as well as correctional facilities staff who visit or call the office. This position maintains documentation for the Regional Administrators regarding information from the Director, Chief of Corrections Operations, Wardens/Superintendents, Chiefs, returning citizens, region staff and the public. This position provides assistance to the Regional Administrators in being proficient and being able to find and provide support documents in a timely manner

Minimum Qualifications

Demonstrated ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner. Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information. Demonstrated ability to compose and prepare professional correspondence, written communications, and statistical reports. Demonstrated skill in the use of computers and related software and applications such as Microsoft Office, to include Word, to accomplish office support requirements.

Additional Considerations

Business principles or equivalent training or experience in a related field, advanced knowledge in Business Administration, a Business-related field, or equivalent applicable experience or training desired. Experience in workflow analysis, project management, and policy interpretation. Experience and knowledge of corrections management and institutions.
