About the Role
Prospero Teaching are seeking an experienced and passionate SEND Teacher to join a welcoming mainstream primary school in Birkenhead. This is a full‑time position supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities within a mainstream setting.
The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and support staff to deliver tailored learning to pupils with a range of additional needs including Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for a nurturing and adaptable teacher who is committed to inclusive education and ensuring every child can access the curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet individual needs
* Support pupils with EHCPs and personalised learning plans
* Work with small groups and individual pupils within the classroom
* Monitor, assess and track pupil progress
* Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals
* Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience teaching pupils with SEND in a mainstream or specialist setting
* Strong knowledge of inclusive teaching strategies
* Excellent behaviour management skills
* A patient, empathetic and resilient approach
* An enhanced DBS on the updated service (or willingness to apply)
