Communications Executive

Division / Location: Corporate Communications, Norwich

Reporting to Group Communications Manager

Weekly Hours: 37

Fixed Term: (maternity cover)

Grade/salary: £31,000

Our central Marketing and Communications Team play a vital role in all internal and external communications, delivering multiple services to support core projects and promote the Norse Group as a national brand.

As we look to develop an already experienced and established team, we are recruiting a Communications Executive on a fixed term basis.

The role

The Communications Executive is responsible for supporting the Corporate Communications team in the delivery of the Norse Group Communications Strategy. The role focuses on creating and delivering clear, engaging, and consistent internal and external communications that strengthen understanding of the Group’s activities, enhance engagement, and promote our values. This position will work closely with colleagues across the Group, ensuring communications are timely, effective, and aligned to organisational objectives.

This role will be responsible for leading on all internal communications whilst supporting the wider team with external communication activities through:

* Producing high-quality, compelling content for a wide range of communication channels – including digital platforms, intranet, newsletters, press releases, and printed materials.
* Developing impactful communications campaigns and initiatives to improve employee engagement and awareness of Group activities.
* Acting as an internal ‘journalist’, proactively identifying and developing stories, features, and case studies that showcase Group successes, human interest, and staff-led achievements.
* Supporting the planning, creation, and delivery of communications materials for events, presentations, and promotional activity.
* Supporting the delivery of public relations activities, including press releases, media statements, newsletters, and digital updates.
* Assisting with media monitoring, identifying opportunities and risks, and responding to enquiries where required.
* Producing high-quality written and visual content for external audiences, including social media, websites, and corporate reports.
* Supporting the evaluation of communications campaigns and channels, measuring outcomes against objectives (including engagement, reach, and impact).
* Contributing to regular reporting to demonstrate the effectiveness of internal and external communications activity.

Our Successful Candidate:

We are ideally looking for someone able to make an instant impact within the business, confidently engaging with all areas of the Group, we will also be looking for you to demonstrate:

* Relevant qualification, degree or equivalent, in English or any Marketing and Communications related subject
* Proven experience in a similar marketing or communication environment
* Knowledge of content management systems for intranet and website management
* Experience in utilising social media channels for professional communication purposes
* Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to produce clear, concise and interesting communications
* Articulate communication skills, capable of delivering information through a number of different platforms.
