Were looking for an experienced Oracle Fusion HCM & Payroll Techno-Functional Lead to take ownership of ongoing enhancements, optimisation, and innovation within a large-scale enterprise environment. Youll combine functional leadership with hands-on technical insight to ensure the successful delivery of new features, improvements, and quarterly release updates across HR and Payroll systems.
The Opportunity
This role sits within a central Business Systems team supporting the Groups enterprise applications. The focus is on evolving and strengthening the use of Oracle Fusion HCM and Payroll, ensuring new functionality is leveraged effectively, business processes are continuously improved, and systems deliver maximum value to end users.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and mentor a small team of internal HCM & Payroll functional consultants.
* Manage and deliver enhancements, configuration changes, and quarterly release activities for Oracle HCM & Payroll.
* Translate business requirements into functional and technical designs supporting internal builds and external delivery partners.
* Assess and implement opt-in functionality from Oracles quarterly updates to drive continual improvement.
* Oversee end-to-end testing, release management, and deployment including critical tax patch cycles.
* Troubleshoot and resolve HCM & Payroll issues in collaboration with wider IT and business teams.
* Produce clear documentation process models, training guides, user documentation, and test scripts.
* Present new functionality and best-practice guidance to business stakeholders.
What Youll Bring
* 5+ years experience working as a techno-functional consultant or manager across Oracle Fusion HCM & Payroll in a complex organisation.
* Strong understanding of Fast Formulas, payroll configuration, and quarterly release management (minimum of 8 full cycles).
* Experience leading small teams and mentoring functional consultants.
* Proven ability to translate business processes into scalable technical solutions.
* Confident communicator who can engage with stakeholders at all levels.
* Excellent analytical and documentation skills with attention to detail.
* Familiarity with both Agile and Waterfall delivery methods.
* Degree or equivalent qualification in HR, Payroll, Business Systems, or Computer Science.
