About Us
DM News English is launching the first 24-hour international English-language news channel headquartered in Manchester, broadcasting via Sky and other global networks. Our mission is to deliver news that serves the public interest, under OFCOM's broadcasting standards.
As we build our creative team, we are looking for passionate and skilled Motion Graphic Designers to help shape the visual identity of our channel and bring our news coverage to life.
The Role
As a Motion Graphic Designer at DM News English, you will design and animate broadcast-quality graphics that enhance our journalism and storytelling. You will play a vital role in defining the visual style of our channel, collaborating with editorial, video, and production teams to deliver graphics for live news, documentaries, and digital platforms.
Key Responsibilities
* Create motion graphics for live news programmes, feature stories, and promotional content.
* Design broadcast-ready templates and animated assets for use across multiple platforms.
* Collaborate with producers, editors, and journalists to ensure visuals support editorial objectives.
* Work within brand guidelines while innovating to deliver compelling visual storytelling.
* Manage multiple projects, meeting tight deadlines in a live news environment.
What We're Looking For
* Strong portfolio showcasing motion graphics for broadcast, digital, or media projects.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator).
* Knowledge of broadcast graphics workflows is highly desirable.
* Creative thinker with excellent design and storytelling skills.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced newsroom.
