The Role: An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS Lanarkshire Trauma and Orthopaedic team for a part time Band 4 Assistant Practitioner Generic Therapist for the purposes of weekend working. This is a great opportunity to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team at University Hospital Wishaw. The successful candidate will: • Work under the supervision of registered therapy staff. To assist patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals. • Implement and adapt treatment programmes within hospital and community settings for individuals / groups of patients. • Undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the identified service. • Use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver flexible, patient centred programmes. Appropriate training and support will be provided to develop staff joining the physiotherapy team. Duties may vary depending on the care group / department or assigned area of work. Contract Type / Shift Pattern Band 4 / Permanent / Part Time / 7.38 hours - Recruitment for Saturday and Sunday service provision is flexible and negotiable (e.g one, two or three shifts per month depending on commitment) NHS Lanarkshire: Have you always wanted to work with NHS Lanarkshire? What we'll need you to bring: Formal qualification at HNC Level or equivalent level of experience in a health / education / social care environment plus short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area. Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area. Knowledge of the clinical speciality/area process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group. Ability to apply a range of technical and practical skills. Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills. Time management, planning and organisational skills. Working knowledge of basic information technology.
