The team…
You will be part of the Council’s Cyber Security Team, which is responsible for safeguarding our digital infrastructure and ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our information systems.
The team designs, implements, and manages a robust cyber security program aimed at protecting the Council’s information assets from evolving cyber threats.
About the role…
Are you passionate about protecting digital infrastructure and staying ahead of cyber threats? We’re looking for a Cyber Security Analyst/Engineer to join our Cyber Security team. You’ll play a vital role in safeguarding the Council’s systems, applications, and networks by implementing and maintaining robust cyber security measures.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Implement and troubleshoot cyber security solutions to ensure system confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
* Monitor and manage patching processes across all devices.
* Identify and mitigate vulnerabilities; investigate and document security incidents.
* Conduct threat research and stay updated on emerging cyber security trends.
* Contribute to the development of IT Security Policy Frameworks.
* Promote cyber security awareness across the Council.
* Provide expert guidance to internal teams and external partners.
* Participate in secure implementation of systems and services.
* Respond to support calls in a helpful and professional manner.
