Job Description:
We are looking for
motivated, enthusiastic staff who exemplify the Trust's core values, with posts available in bands band 7 Team Lead Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapist roles and band 4 Therapy Technicians.
The successful candidates will work with a highly motivated Stroke Multi-disciplinary team to develop, establish, and deliver the new SSARU.
Note that, as part of the reconfiguration of stroke services, the management of the Weston SSARU, including staffing for the stroke rehabilitation beds, will transfer to Sirona in the future as part of Integrated Community Stroke Services. Until then, this role will also support the general medical bed base within the stroke ward.
Depending on successful candidates, full-time and/or more part-time posts could be available owing to the combined 1.6 WTE Therapy Band 7 Stroke Team Lead Weston SSARU funding. Please state your preference for hours on your application or at interview.
The successful candidates will lead an integrated team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, and Therapy Technicians, working collaboratively with operational leads to establish the Weston SSARU as part of the BNSSG Stroke Services Reconfiguration Programme. They will work with colleagues across different sites and service providers to deliver a cohesive stroke service for the local population.
You will demonstrate clinical leadership and expertise in stroke rehabilitation for complex stroke patients and support rotational staff in developing their skills in this area.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a wide variety of patients, engaging in comprehensive assessment and client-centered treatment.
Requirements include:
* Significant postgraduate experience in multidisciplinary teamwork within an NHS environment
* Strong knowledge and expertise in Stroke care
* Experience collaborating with community services, social care, and voluntary sector organizations for safe and timely care transitions
* Experience managing other therapy staff
* Experience in service development and training/education programs for healthcare professionals and patients
