The ideal candidate will create an exceptional visitor experience by welcoming guests, managing venue entry, and supporting both event-based and day-today operations in the Box Office. Responsibilities include sales (using our CRM system Spektrix), customer communications, promoting Opera North membership schemes, and printing and distributing tickets. Working collaboratively with management, the role ensures the smooth and safe running of events and the day-to-day operation of the Box Office with afternoons, evenings and weekends as a priority. This role plays an essential part in shaping a vibrant, welcoming arts venue in the heart of Leeds. Key accountabilities: Give a warm welcome and engage with visitors, ensuring they feel valued and appropriately supported throughout their visit to the Howard Assembly Room. Respond to customer queries promptly, providing clear, accurate, and helpful information via email, phone, and in person. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the venue, events, and products to confidently inform visitors and recommend additional services where appropriate. Proactively promote and sell tickets, and upsell any additional items such as programmes or merchandise. Operate the Box Office Counter including selling tickets and supporting the Duty Manager during events. Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure all tasks are completed effectively. Take initiative by identifying and completing tasks that support the smooth running of the venue. Complete any other reasonable duties requested by the Duty Manager on shift.
