The project: HS2 - Mace will act as a Construction Partner, working with HS2 Ltd and the station designers, to coordinate the building of the new station, including platforms, concourse and links to London Underground and other rail services. You will support the Planning function in ensuring projects and tenders are effectively planned, scheduled, and monitored. You will develop and maintain effective communication and collaborative relationships with the Client and other project stakeholders, both internal and external. You'll be responsible for: Producing level two programmes for work packages and develop level three programmes for tender purposes. Reviewing the contractor's programmes returned with tenders and make comments as appropriate to support the procurement process. Reviewing the detailed work schedules produced by contractors and ensure that they comply with strategic programmes the work breakdown structure. Producing programmes as may be necessary to coordinate works between packages. Monitoring the progress of the works on site against key milestones and report progress in accordance with the monthly cycle. Inputting data and produce earned value reports for packages of the works. Reporting on adequacy of time risk allowances and any erosion due to events. Supporting the project manager and project controls manager regarding all issues relating to schedules. Liaising with the project controls manager to ensure that an accurate assessment of project progress is available at all times. Liaising continuously with members of the team to ensure that all activities are coordinated and that interface issues are identified at the earliest possible time and co-ordinated within the overall programme. Working with project managers and subconsultants to resolve issues and develop programmes to mitigate delay. You'll need to have: You will have exposure of working as a P6 planner on large scale new build projects ideally for a tier 1 contractor or a project management consultancy. You will have a construction related degree (civil/structural engineering, or construction/project management or equivalent). You are digitally savvy, can build lasting client relationships and lead strong, motivated teams. You have experience of working on large projects/programmes. You will have a construction or project management background and be hungry to grow your career and enjoy the opportunities Mace have to offer.
