Overview
This role involves working within a Fire & Security team as an Installation Technician, carrying out a variety of technical tasks in line with NSI Gold, BAFE, and industry best-practice standards. The position offers ongoing training, development, and opportunities to work across both domestic and commercial environments, supporting installation, servicing, and maintenance of a wide range of fire and security systems.
The role requires someone who can work confidently as part of a team but also independently when needed. Strong presentation, adaptability, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment are essential.
Contract Details
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Probation: 6 months
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am–5:00pm (30-minute unpaid lunch)
Standby Duties: Paid retainer + call outs (4-day rota)
Salary: £38,000–£42,000 (depending on skills/experience)

Main Responsibilities
Carry out servicing, fault-finding, and rectification across all fire and security disciplines in line with NSI and BAFE standards.
Produce thorough and accurate reports following site visits.
Participate in standby duties as part of the team rota.
General Duties
* Follow company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety requirements.
* Complete all necessary training and development for the role.
* Participate in probation reviews and annual appraisals.
* Perform any additional duties of a similar responsibility level as required.
Person Specification
Essential Experience & Skills
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in the fire and security industry.
* Background working across industrial, commercial, and domestic sites.
* Ability to accurately diagnose and rectify faults on a wide range of systems.
* Capable of servicing fire systems to required industry standards (NSI & BAFE).
* Experience with multiple manufacturers and technologies, including:Hikvision
* Paxton
* Scantronic
* Texecom
* Galaxy
* Morley / Kentec Fire Panels
* EMS
* Nurse Call Systems
* Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
* Excellent customer service skills.
* Competent with basic IT tools (Word, Outlook, etc.).
* Ability to work across multiple tasks and departments.
* Full UK driving licence.
