We're looking for someone to coordinate with material suppliers to align orders with production requirements, expedite deliveries as needed, and manage the return or replacement of rejected materials. Oversee the day-to-day scheduling and availability of materials to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Key Areas of Responsibility
* To fully utilise the current Opera MRP and future ERP system and its appropriate supporting systems to effectively manage and communicate the material scheduling activities.
* To work alongside the wider Operations team including Production, Sales, Warehouse and Despatch to ensure that all materials are delivered on-time, at the right quality, and at the right cost.
* Manage the system and scheduling activities so that scheduled material demand is processed in a timely manner to support customer demand.
* Place purchase Orders on suppliers in a timely manner to support customer demand.
* Interface with suppliers to agree and communicate purchase order requirements.
* Expedite material purchase orders in a timely manner to support customer demand.
* Maintain purchase order information within MRP/future ERP system to communicate expected material deliveries from suppliers within the business.
* To interface with team members in Sales, Despatch and Production to communicate planned material delivery status to support the meeting of customer demand.
* Attend production meetings as required to communicate planned material delivery status.
* Communicate with the accounts department to support the resolution of invoice/delivery queries where required.
* To manage key system material planning parameters in MRP/future ERP to enable the effective communication and utilisation of material lead-times, MOQ's, replenishment quantities etc.
* Support the active management of business Inventory, seeking to maintain optimum levels to minimise cashflow impact whilst maximising availability.
* Manage the return and replacement of reject materials with suppliers as required.
* Report and manage supplier On Time in Full delivery performance.
* To work flexibly and conduct additional or alternative duties as necessary to meet the Company's needs where appropriate.
Skills & Experience
* 3+ years previous experience in a similar role.
* Experience of working with fully integrated ERP system is essential and with Opera advantageous.
* Higher level of education preferred.
* Willingness to work as part of a dedicated team essential, embracing the need to collaborate, challenge and communicate with humility and emotional intelligence.
* To work with a strong bias for action, a desire to achieve and be a part of a successful team.
Salary
£30,000 - £32,000 depending on experience
Role Location
Telford – office based initially and hybrid working after probation.
