Project Architect Job Overview
- Lead and manage high-end residential projects through all RIBA work stages, from concept design through to completion.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact throughout project delivery.
- Produce high-quality design, planning, tender and construction drawing packages.
- Coordinate consultants, contractors and wider project teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Attend and lead client meetings, design reviews and site visits.
- Provide technical guidance and resolve design and construction-related queries.
- Contribute to the continued growth and development of the practice.
- Champion sustainable and environmentally responsible design principles throughout projects.
- Support and mentor junior team members where appropriate.
Project Architect Job Requirements
- ARB-registered Architect with a minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience.
- Strong experience delivering high-end UK private residential projects.
- Proven ability to manage projects independently through all RIBA stages.
- Strong design and technical capability, with excellent attention to detail.
- Confident managing client relationships with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Driven, committed and motivated to develop into a key role within the practice.
- Collaborative and supportive approach to working within a close-knit team.
- Genuine interest in sustainability, with Passivhaus knowledge or experience highly desirable.
- Proficiency in Vectorworks preferred.
- 3D modelling and visualisation skills beneficial.
- Experience or interest in AI-led visualisation tools advantageous.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- Ideally located within a 45-minute commute of the office.
- Full UK driving licence beneficial for site visits.
Salary & Benefits
Salary: £40,000 – £55,000 (DOE)
