We’re looking for dedicated ASD Learning Support Assistants to work 1:1 with students at a fantastic school in Newcastle. This school prides itself on being a friendly, nurturing environment where every child is supported to succeed—and they’d love to welcome someone like you into the team.
What You’ll Be Doing
1. Providing dedicated 1:1 support to a child with ASD
2. Helping students develop communication, social, and learning skills in a calm, structured way
3. Acting as a mentor, guiding children to make positive choices for learning and behaviour
4. Supporting children during unstructured times, running creative activities to build confidence and friendships

5. Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for working with children
6. Recent experience supporting children with ASD
7. Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, steady approach
8. A proactive attitude—ready to get involved and make learning fun
