We are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants with SEN experience to join a dedicated mainstream school in the Croydon area. This position will be working in a brilliant team and joining them on a permanent basis from September.
We are seeking someone who has a passion for supporting SEN children and their ability to support pupils in both 1:1 and group settings.
Day to day you will be:
* Provide a safe and nurturing environment
* Build positive relationships with the child
* Supporting to explain and complete tasks
* Communicating with parents
* Promoting the general wellbeing of the children
* Observe and assess the pupils progress and be able to report back to the classroom teacher and parents
We are looking for someone with:
* Excellent communication skills
* A brilliant team player
* A genuine passion for working with children
* A positive, can-do attitude
Prior experience within an SEN TA role is desirable but not essential. If you have prior experience working within any similar industry such as care, nursing, mental health support, counselling, police work etc. any industries where you would need to be passionate and have a caring nature then you could have the right transferable skills!
You will need to be happy to complete our compliance process which will include a DBS and references.
