Job Description Civil Litigation Solicitor Location : Oldham Salary : £35,000 to £45,000 Experience : 1 to 2 years PQE The Opportunity This is a great opportunity for an ambitious Civil Litigation Solicitor to join a growing, award-winning disputes team in Oldham. You will run your own files with support from an experienced Head of Department, with clear scope to develop your technical skills, confidence and profile. The role offers a broad and varied civil litigation caseload, with the chance to take ownership of matters from the outset and build long-term client relationships. What You’ll Be Doing Managing a varied civil litigation and dispute resolution caseload from inception through to conclusion Drafting pleadings, witness statements and correspondence Negotiating settlements and advising clients on strategy, risk and next steps Using a case management system to progress matters efficiently and accurately Managing deadlines and competing priorities with strong organisation and attention to detail Supporting the wider team, including collaborating with senior colleagues and assisting with more complex matters Contributing to business development and networking (where appropriate), including developing relationships that generate repeat work What We’re Looking For Essential Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales 1 to 2 years’ PQE in civil litigation and dispute resolution (or equivalent experience) Experience running matters with increasing autonomy Strong drafting skills and confidence preparing litigation documents Excellent time management and ability to manage a busy workload Strong IT skills and experience working with a case management system Desirable A developing network and interest in business development and networking Experience across a broad range of civil disputes What’s On Offer Salary of £35,000 to £45,000 (depending on experience) Company pension Generous holiday allowance Additional day’s leave for your birthday each year Death in service policy (4x salary) Excellent career development within a busy, growing department About Our Client Our client is an award-winning law firm with a growing civil litigation department.
