We are looking for a proactive and motivated individual to work as part of the Risk and Resilience Team to provide advice, guidance and support in relation to risk management, insurance and business continuity planning.
This is a varied role where every day will be different, we can never be sure what will come into the service each day so you will need to research to find the appropriate solution. This is coupled with the proactive work that we do to help embed an effective risk culture and manage a comprehensive and wide-ranging insurance programme. Our ideal candidate will have a good understanding of risk management, business continuity and insurance principles.
The post sits in a small but busy team and therefore the ability to prioritise and manage customer expectations is important. The successful candidate will be able to organise their own workload to meet deadlines whilst also contributing to the wider work of the team. This will include providing advice, support and guidance on insurance, risk management and business continuity to a diverse range of council services and our wholly owned companies including the facilitation of risk workshops and business continuity exercises. The post involves the production of relevant data which you will be required to present to senior management and also the processing of motor and property claims.
If you have the talents we are looking for, you will have access to a range of benefits including generous annual leave, pension and opportunities for hybrid working (minimum requirement to be office based 3 days a week).
