We're working with a forward-thinking insurance broker looking to appoint a Commercial Director to lead and develop a team of 9 Account Executives in their Haverhill office. This is a leadership role focused on people, performance, and strategic support – not portfolio management. You’ll coach and guide your team, support on complex client work, and help shape the commercial direction of the branch. You might come from a broking background – perhaps you’ve walked the path of an Account Executive yourself – or you might bring leadership experience from the insurer side. Either way, you’ll be a natural leader who thrives on helping others succeed.
What you’ll be doing:
* Lead and inspire a team of 9 Account Executives
* Mentor and support – providing strategic input on key client opportunities
* Drive growth and retention across the commercial book
* Influence placement strategy and strengthen insurer relationships
* Own the team's performance – delivering against branch objectives

* A proven leader from either a broking or commercial insurer background
* Strong commercial understanding and a strategic mindset
* A collaborative and empowering management style
* Someone who’s confident stepping away from their own client portfolio to focus on leading others
