A well-renowned firm of accountants in Merseyside is currently looking to build further by recruiting experienced Audit & Accounts professionals into their experienced team. Having recently won lots of new business, they are now looking to build their Audit & Accounts teams by recruiting Audit & Accounts Seniors that have experience working with OMBS and SMEs. The Role:
1. Planning and delivery of audit/accounts assignments Plan assignments in conjunction with the client partner or manager
2. Lead some of our largest and most complex assignments
3. Supervise junior staff during the audit and review their work
4. Deliver the audit file to the assignment manager in a timely manner
5. Identify cross-selling opportunities and potential management letter points
6. Manage client communication in an effective manner
7. Monitor your chargeability and your assignment budgets pro-actively
8. Coach other staff for improved performance and technical development
9. Develop specialist sector knowledge and keep abreast of industry developments
10. Mentor audit and accounts trainees and contribute to the office’s training and development programme
Requirements:
11. Experience of OMB/SME private company audits: planning, budget preparation, identifying key risks, developing an audit plan, executing the audit on site
12. Knowledge of and experience of current auditing standards and approaches: analytical review, documenting systems and controls, sampling techniques
13. Experience preparing audit and accounts files using an electronic working paper system such as Caseware
14. Significant prior experience of statutory company accounts preparation under UK GAAP, and also charities and LLPs
15. Experience of preparing and auditing consolidated accounts and component auditor issues
16. Leadership experience –experience supervising teams on-site and reviewing their work
17. Experience of preparing budgets and monitoring actual time against budget
