London weighting) Work Pattern: On-site, weekend work required We're working with a public-sector organisation leading the charge in waste reduction and community-based sustainability. They’re looking for a hands-on, enthusiastic Events Coordinator to support their Reuse Programme — a project focused on giving second-hand goods a new life and making sustainability more accessible to local communities. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in public-facing environments, loves events, and is passionate about sustainability and the circular economy. The Opportunity Deliver weekly community sales and pop-up reuse events across West London. Coordinate on-site logistics, event setup, and volunteer management. Act as the face of the reuse programme at events—engaging the public and promoting the sustainability mission. Help build local awareness through grassroots marketing like social media, flyers, and noticeboards. Key Responsibilities Organise and run weekly reuse sales and monthly community pop-up events. Oversee set-up and pack-down (including transporting stock and equipment). Support and manage volunteers, ensuring events run smoothly. Promote upcoming events through local channels and online platforms. Record key event metrics such as visitor numbers, reuse volumes, and sales figures. Ensure all events are compliant with health and safety requirements, including risk assessments. What We're Looking For You must be available on weekends — most events run on Saturdays and Sundays. Experience in public-facing roles, retail, events, or community engagement. Comfortable with manual handling (e.g. moving tables, stock, or signage). Strong organisational and time management skills — you’ll often be the key person on-site. A genuine interest in sustainability, reuse, or circular economy work. Desirable Familiarity with the West London area and local communities. Some experience with social media promotion or event marketing. Previous involvement in charity retail or environmental projects.
