An outstanding opportunity for an experienced rail and civil engineering Site Agent looking to hone their skills and experience in a rail and civil engineering project environment. As a Site Agent, you will be responsible for overseeing railway station platform and bridge projects throughout Central Scotland.
Business Unit
A busy and fast-paced project and maintenance environment involving a range of multi-disciplinary civil engineering projects, working for clients including Local Authorities, Network Rail, and Environmental sectors.
Rail & Civil Engineering
Location – Cumbernauld, Scotland
An outstanding opportunity for an experienced rail and civil engineering Site Agent looking to hone their skills and experience in a rail and civil engineering project environment. As Site Agent, you will be responsible for overseeing railway station platform and bridge projects throughout Central Scotland.
Projects include civil engineering works and infrastructure projects such as:
* Highways & Roads
* Underbridges, Overbridges, and Footbridges
* Tunnels, Flood Alleviation & Repairs
* Earthworks & Embankments
* Rail Platforms and Station Infrastructure
Current projects include Civils Asset Management (CAM), Renewals Enhancement Framework (REF), and a Slabtrack framework.
The Role
As Site Agent, you will manage daily operations of railway station platform and bridge projects in Central Scotland. Responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring contract compliance with legislation, contract terms, health and safety, quality, and environmental plans.
2. Delivering projects within scope, time, and budget.
3. Liaising with site staff and surveyors to monitor allowances and progress.
4. Managing contract changes and providing progress reports to the Contracts Manager.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a Site Agent in rail and civil engineering.
* SMSTS certification.
* Degree, HNC, or HND in civil engineering or equivalent experience.
* Experience managing multi-disciplinary rail/civils infrastructure projects.
