This is a great opportunity to join the trust, where you will be undertaking all aspects of pharmacy services in their North Coast hospital. The role: Carry out clinical and accuracy checking of prescriptions and medicines in the dispensary and on wards, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and safety standards. Assess the appropriateness of inpatient, outpatient, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition prescriptions; provide medication counselling and support discharge planning. Dispense and supply medicines, including controlled drugs and clinical trial products, and offer concordance advice to patients. Participate in the Medicines Information service, responding to enquiries under supervision and completing accredited training. Work in the Aseptic Unit and quality control areas, undertaking training, supervising aseptic processes, and ensuring adherence to legislative and safety standards. Support clinical pharmacy and integrated medicines management services, including medication history-taking, monitoring, documentation, and communication with primary care. Deputise for senior staff, act as the Responsible Pharmacist when required, maintain CPD, contribute to rotas including on-call duties, and complete vocational training if necessary. The Person As the successful candidate you will have the following background and experience: Member of the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland or be eligible for registration. Proficient in evaluating prescribed medicines for clinical appropriateness, modifying treatment to optimise health outcomes, and instructing patients in the safe and effective use of medicines and devices. Knowledge of statutory regulations and professional requirements for supplying human medicines, alongside the ability to identify and interpret appropriate diagnostic or physiological tests. Full current drivers license. Participation in on-call, weekend, public holiday and other unsocial hours rotas. Willing to undertake the post-registration foundation programme.
