Job Title: Hangar Support Assistant
Location: RAF Coningsby - Onsite
Salary: £24,337
What you’ll be doing:
* Urgent deliveries of Test Equipment/Ground Equipment and maintenance consumables including of Towing and Aircraft slot maintenance within TMF (Typhoon Maintenance Facility)
* Waste Disposal of hazardous Oils and Lubricants from the aircraft maintenance
* Operation and coordination of the support hangar storage, including transports
* Periodic washing of TyTAN aircraft, and coordinate/ upkeep of the wash facility
* Varied tasks in support of TyTAN maintenance activities
* Various physical tasks involving lifting, carrying and moving
Your skills and experiences:
Essential:
* Full Clean Driving licence
Desirable:
* Awareness and experience of manual handling practices
* Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks efficiently in a busy hangar environment
* Reliable approach with a focus on supporting operational output and maintaining high standards of housekeeping
* Awareness of safe working practices, including handling hazardous materials and operating vehicles/equipment in a controlled environment
* Flexible and adaptable, comfortable taking on a wide range of duties to support TyTAN maintenance activities

The Hangar Support team
Join our Hangar Support Team, a dedicated group ensuring the smooth running of all activities within the RAF Coningsby Maintenance Hangar. The team provides essential support across driving, general hangar duties, and wash operations, enabling engineers to focus on their core maintenance tasks. Playing a vital role in supporting planned maintenance output, the team also encourages personal development and growth, offering opportunities to build skills and progress within a dynamic maintenance environment.
