Job Description:
Residential Support Worker
Huge Small Victories
Our school support workers are fulfilled by the idea of making even the smallest positive changes in our young people, so we celebrate the little things. There are many ups and downs, and to some of our young people, sitting through a lesson can be a big win. We call these huge small victories, and while they may seem small, they add up to make a big difference.
Get out what you put in
You’ll work with children and young people with Autistic Spectrum Disorder/Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. Your role will involve helping them learn, develop their abilities, and boost their self-esteem. Resilience and dedication are essential, but the huge small victories you achieve will be very rewarding.
It can be challenging, but the positive progress will be worth it. You’ll support our young people daily, ensuring they are prepared for school, assisting with homework, completing paperwork, and planning activities.
As a support worker at Witherslack Group, you’ll be part of a team that provides comprehensive support, including psychologists, teaching assistants, and therapy professionals. Our colleagues are highly skilled, resources are plentiful, and we’ll support your career development every step of the way.
