Purpose of the Role
To carry out high-quality welding and fabrication of ground-engaging buckets and attachments, ensuring all work meets required safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform MIG welding using 1.2mm bare wire
* Complete multi-run fillet welds to a high standard
* Work on plate thicknesses ranging from 6mm to 200mm
* Use oxy/acetylene cutting equipment safely and effectively
* Operate general hand tools for fabrication tasks
* Interpret basic engineering drawings (if required)
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment
* Meet production and quality targets
* Undertake a weld test as part of the role
Essential Requirements
1. Time-served Welder/Fabricator
2. Minimum 2 years post-apprenticeship experience
3. Experience with MIG welding processes
4. Ability to perform multi-run welding
