This role is for a full-time, permanent Operational Risk Manager, working on a hybrid basis in Melton Mowbray. This is an excellent opportunity for a subject matter expert looking for their next challenge in the industry. About the position As Operational Risk Manager, you will be responsible for: Developing and maintaining the Enterprise Risk Management Framework, including the Risk Appetite Policy and Standards. Identifying, developing and implementing initiatives to support the Risk Culture and Awareness across the Society. Conducting assurance activities over the Risks and Controls across the Society, including oversight of the Risk & Controls Self-Assessment ‘RCSA’ process. Preparing and delivering relevant Risk Management training and facilitating relevant Risk related workshops. Preparing detailed reports on Risk and delivering relevant reports to required committees. Developing and maintaining the Incident Management Framework and providing oversight of Incidents. Providing support and oversight on business change projects to enable risks and controls to be identified and managed. Acting as a Subject Matter Expert and providing technical expertise on Risk Management and Operational Risk. Providing support and challenge to Senior Management and Executives on Risks and Controls. Developing and embedding the Governance, Risk & Compliance ‘GRC’ system. Conducting analysis on Risk related information and data. Working closely with the wider Risk and Compliance team to support Risk Management. Providing support on the ICAAP process for Operational Risk. Maintaining strong working relationships with Senior Management, Executive and colleagues at all levels. What are we looking for? We are keen to see applications from candidates who can demonstrate: Experience Experience of working in an Operational Risk role and ideally with a focus on IT, Change, Operational Resilience, Third Party Management and Business Continuity. Extensive knowledge of Risk Management Practises and Operational Risk. Holds a relevant qualification in Risk or the willingness to achieve one. Experience of operating or developing a Governance, Risk & Compliance ‘GRC’ system. A strong understanding of the UK Regulatory Framework (PRA & FCA), ideally with experience in Retail Banking.
