Senior Strategy & Analysis Manager | £70,000 base | Birmingham (3 days per week in office)
This is a senior leadership role within a commercial strategy and analysis function at a major UK transport operator. The business facilitates tens of millions of journeys every year and plays a pivotal role in shaping national transport strategy.
You’ll step in as deputy to the Head of Commercial Strategy, managing a team of 4 Analysts and acting as a key point of coordination between strategy, pricing, forecasting, and revenue management.
What you’ll be doing
* Leading and mentoring a team of 4 Analysts
* Owning business planning, forecasting, and monthly commercial reporting
* Delivering the Annual Business Plan and core commercial models
* Shaping strategy on pricing, demand, and revenue protection
* Acting as a key liaison with stakeholders across commercial functions and government
* Providing strategic input on everything from major events to long-term demand trends
* Ensuring robust, clear, and commercially relevant insights drive senior decision-making
What you’ll bring
* Experience leading or deputising in a management role within a commercial or analytical environment
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to present to senior leadership and government stakeholders
* Commercial acumen and a track record of influencing strategy
* Familiarity with forecasting, modelling, or revenue management principles – ideally within transport, travel, or a related sector
* Ability to critique, validate, and challenge analytical work (hands-on technical skills not required, but familiarity with SQL, Tableau, Power BI is beneficial)
* A strategic mindset, able to connect analysis to broader business objectives
