Role: Bookkeeper
Location: York
Salary: Up to £30,000 (DOE)

Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper job include:
• Maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a range of clients
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns in line with MTD requirements
• Bank reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
• Processing purchase and sales invoices
• Liaising with clients and responding to day to day queries
• Ensuring records are kept up to date and deadlines are met
Requirements of the Bookkeeper job include:
• Previous experience within an accountancy practice or similar environment
• Strong knowledge of VAT and bookkeeping processes
• Experience using Xero or similar cloud based software
• Good attention to detail
