Job Purpose
* Support hospital sites to achieve local admissions targets and revenue goals.
* Escalate any issues or concerns that may impact case numbers or revenue.
* Liaison between bookings, pre-admissions and theatres overseeing the utilisation data and departmental scheduling.
* To reduce underutilised sessions and maximise theatre capacity.
Main Duties And Responsibilities
* Work closely with the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and the Shared Service Lead to maximise outpatient and theatre capacity, as well as pre-operative clinic efficiency.
* Liaise with clinical teams to maximise efficient theatre scheduling and patient flow, reduce cancellations and produce accurate metrics.
* Build effective partnerships with SLT, secretaries, and consultants to enhance engagement and deliver on theatre and outpatient utilisation targets.
* Negotiate additional capacity with staff and consultants, especially when cancellations occur, ensuring utilisation targets are maintained at short notice.
* Regularly obtain and review departmental utilisation data, meeting with the Senior Leadership Team to identify and support improvements in theatre and outpatient session usage.
* Collaborate with the Shared Service Centre to manage e-RS and Referral to Treatment (RTT) pathways, ensuring efficient referral handling and outpatient bookings.
* Facilitate the smooth and timely progression of patients through their RTT pathway.
* Provide direct leadership and support to Outpatient and Reception Administration Teams.
* Develop and implement training plans focusing on process mapping, reducing duplication, and driving efficiency across the hospital.

* Contribute to improving the hospital’s performance rankings.
* Implement improvements for efficient patient flow.

About You
* Experience in healthcare is essential, ideally with some operational management or capacity planning experience.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across multi-disciplinary teams.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret utilisation data and drive improvements.
* Proven leadership abilities and experience in managing administrative teams.
* Proactive, solution-focused, and able to respond effectively and safely to challenges at short notice.
