- £29.44 per hour via Umbrella | 6-month contract
- Belfast based | Hybrid working with 3 days per week on-site
- 35-hour working week | BPSS Clearance required
About the Client
Our client is a globally recognised engineering organisation supporting some of the most advanced manufacturing, technology and infrastructure programmes in the world. Operating across multiple business divisions and international locations, they offer the opportunity to work within a collaborative procurement function supporting a wide range of stakeholders. Due to continued demand, they are looking for an experienced Procurement Buyer to join their Belfast team.
The Procurement Buyer Role
As a Procurement Buyer, you will support the sourcing and procurement of products and services across Manufacturing Technologies, Real Estate and Facilities Management categories. You will work closely with internal customers, suppliers and stakeholders to ensure procurement activities are delivered efficiently and in line with company policies and procedures.
You will:
- Support sourcing activities and competitive tender exercises (CFTs)
- Review and approve procurement requisitions and purchase orders
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Support procurement activities across multiple business functions
- Manage supplier and stakeholder escalations where required
- Ensure compliance with procurement processes and governance
- Work collaboratively across local and international procurement teams
Procurement Buyer Essential Skills
- Previous Procurement Buyer experience
- Experience within indirect procurement environments
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
- Experience working within multi-functional or matrix organisations
- Strong communication and networking abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Desirable Skills
- Experience using SAP
- Experience using Coupa
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering or corporate procurement environments
